I send everyone who asks for a recommendation for car repair to Scheer Automotive. Not only do they do excellent work, but their pricing is unbelievably fair. It is hard to find an honest, reasonable, price-conscious place these days. They don't find 12 other things wrong when you bring your car in or try to upsell you or overcharge you for labor. They fix what is wrong and that is all. I got a quote from another garage for close to $900 and I took it to Scheer for a second opinion. They fixed it for $500. I will never go anywhere else. I have gotten my oil changed here several times, and it is the best price I've ever found. But that's not even the best thing about these guys. I also had a leak in my engine a few years back that they fixed, and it was very reasonably priced. As someone who does not have a lot of money just laying around, I appreciate that. I took it in, and later that evening they call me to tell me that my oil filter just wasn't put on right, and the leak was fixed. THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR THIS. I could've hugged them, but we were on the phone.Maybe I shouldn't be leaking these secrets about them. I certainly don't want people to think they just give away their services, but they easily could've charged me a bit for their time. We came to Edmond from Lubbock two years ago.  When you're in your hometown, you have developed relationships over many years and have had time to find that mechanic that you trust completely.  You don't even think about it until you move and that mechanic is no longer there.
